Cook on low for 6-8 hours until you can easily shred the beef. Chuck roast will take closer to 8 hours. Flank steak will be done after about 6 hours.

Preheat the oven (or a grill) to 450 degrees. Spread the shredded beef on a baking sheet covered with foil. Drizzle with a little of the cooking liquid. Cook for 15-20 minutes for beef chuck (or 7-10 minutes for flank steak) until the steak gets caramelized and crispy on the edges. Taste and add a little extra cooking liquid if needed. Serve as tacos or bowls.
